==== MARS PATENT — Catapult ==== **STWST’s Schlafschiff I-III** at **MARS PATENT – Catapult** {{:projects:marspatentlogo.png?400nolink|}} **MARS PATENT – Catapult** **Collaborative Net Art, installation, text- and voice objects, drawings, video since 1999** **MOM Art Space** Hamburg, 9th-11th of January 2026 ---- **The cyberfeminist project MARS PATENT was and still is the first interplanetary exhibition space,** which, at the turn of the millennium, linked the trends towards the colonisation of space with the media hype surrounding the (early) internet: Space! Cyberspace! The solution! (for everything)?– DEEP, DEEPER, hypnomedia: And now? What to do when the once-ridiculed lies of progress are now rapidly overtaking themselves in nightmarish reality? With this question in mind, the exhibition takes a new, probing look at the participatory net art project by Claudia Reiche and Helene von Oldenburg (Hamburg, artists, curators). **It is recapitulated and catapulted onto the surface of Mars like the deceptive displays.** Tanja Brandmayr's exhibited and performed sleeping ship undertakes a “rebellion of the imagination”, as do the Letters of Jutta K. The two literary-oriented works venture into the border area of the communicable and thus perhaps deeper into the world space (of language) than any spaceship into space...
