Looks like a technical device that transmitted a rotting apple on TV channel 38. 
The device only had to be placed near a television set. 
Inside the transponder or TV grenerator was a rotting apple in front of a camera
Eight were built and five were sold.

5 apples from this period have survived until 2024. These apples will be used to revitalise the project in the digital age.

The project began in 1991 when I was in the kitchen

watching an apple age in the kitchen. I thought about the

to have the image of a rotting apple tattooed. Since McIntosh used this logo

with the bitten apple, I ended up with a Madelbrot.

But the apple still remained a part of my artistic work.
